IT’S a Knockout host Stuart Hall attracted lots of attention when he visited Ormskirk in 1982.
Stuart came to open the Moorgate Indoor Market, performing the official ribbon cutting ceremony in front of a bumper crowd.
Stuart was also well-known as presenter on BBC North West Tonight (previously Look North and Look North West) after joining the BBC in 1959 as a general reporter on Radio Newsreel and a sports journalist on the BBC's Sports Report where he still broadcasts.
