ROCKERS Johnny the Fox hit the big-time in 1989, completing a three-month tour in Canada, but where are they now?

Croston lads Andrew Rudd, Chris Bannister, Martin and Andrew Talbot, met at Bishop Rawstorne High School and decided to form a rock group.

Andrew Rudd told the Advertiser: “Chris had a cheap guitar and Martin had a cheap bass guitar, they messed around playing and when they needed a drummer I bought my first kit.

“We listened to records and in the first year we didn’t have a clue but we practised and it was good laugh.”

Andrew Talbot spoke about their time in Canada playing to audiences of 2,000 people: “We were surprised and pleased it went so well. There was a lot of audience participation and they really boogied on down. It was a change from over here where audiences tend to sit there with a pint and watch.”
