EX-Liverpool and Everton player David Johnson makes an appearance in 1986.

David showed up to Maghull's Festival of Sport and made the day of many youngsters who got to see the footballer up close and personal.

He handed out medals and trophies and is shown presenting Robert Donnelly with his medal after winning the under-13s 100m race.

David made his Everton debut aged 19 in January 1971, and later that year scored in a Merseyside derby game for Everton.

He did the same for Liverpool a decade later, making him one of only two players to have scored for both clubs in the derby. Peter Beardsley was the other player.

David moved to Ipswich Town at the end of 1972 and during this time he was called up by Don Revie for his first cap for England.

He made his debut in a British Home Championship match at Wembley in May 1975, a year later he made his debut for Liverpool.

He returned to Everton in August 1982 for £100,000 and retired a few years later after spells at Barnsley, Manchester City and Preston North End.
