This week experts from the Ormskirk Academy of Martial Arts drop in from 1986.
Nicola Ibison and Jeff Bullock were named the ‘Fittest Couple in Britain’ after a gruelling competition at the Thorpe Park Hotel in London.
Jeff was a British Thai Boxing champion and the pair both had black belts in jujitsu and karate.
The couple had a strict training regime to prepare themselves for the ‘Krypton Factor’ style obstacle course test.
They also appeared with ‘Mad’ Lizzie in a aerobics session on TVAM.
Nicola, from Delph Lane in Aughton, told the Advertiser at the time: “Our training helped us a lot because our sport is so explosive. We are over the moon.”
